If Puzzle Eleven wasn’t our most elaborate puzzle yet, it certainly was the one that required the most coding. You’ve pushed the buttons. You’ve scrubbed through the audio. You’ve listened to the same clip over and over again.
You’ve also waited long enough! Let’s get some answers.
There are two ways to recap this puzzle.
The first is to say: “▲-☀-☂-♠-☕-✈-★-◆-♣-⚡”.
The second is to just let you hear the whole, unedited original in the proper order. Here you go:
You received a half point for every segment you put in the proper order. Unfortunately, that means there were some who had only one piece out of place that knocked everything else out of sync. It’s an imperfect solution, but a hard one to judicate.
A COUPLE SOLVING NOTES and A COUPLE FUN FACTS
Some of you may have missed our DJ’s final line of dialogue, “Is the clock going backwa-” before being cut off by radio static. That means that if you tried to use the passage of time to organize, you were following a red herring from the start.
One of the clips starts with several seconds of silence. I’m the one who cut the clips up, so I knew that, but it always seemed to randomly be the first button I would click while testing the web interface so I constantly thought it was broken! Annoying! And my own fault!
I tried to give you several ways to link, whether it was matching songs, sounds or “story,” but I knew that starting the puzzle mid-word was going to catch a few of you. Sorry! Classic The Puzzleboy Hijinks!
