How are we feeling after our comic strip puzzles? Are you ever going to be able to go back? When you open up your newspaper this Sunday to the Funny Pages, are you going to be able to stop yourself from looking for clues amongst the details in Little Orphan Annie’s living room?
I have just been informed that the majority of the things I mentioned in my last sentence don’t exist anymore. My apologies.
In a Puzzleboy first this month, submitters did not need to answer every question to get points, which did some interesting things to our scoreboard over at the Puzzleboy Pantheon. Let’s solve some rebuses and take a look.

“It’s a brie!” “Nahhh…” CARP ENTER
That’s right, it’s the short n’ sweet SABRINA CARPENTER.
Fun Fact: In real life, there’s no reason to label a bowl of caviar with a sign that says “CAVIAR.” People can tell. Trust the process.
Correct percentage: 91.48%

“Mine!” [CRAFT]
It’s MINECRAFT.
Fun Fact: Cartoons one and two might make it look like I’m trying to seem relevant to the young people. When brainstorming these cartoons, I came very close to including a puzzle based around actor Jack Lemon, so it would be more accurate to say that I simply chose to limit it to people who have been alive in the last twenty years.
Correct percentage: 87.23%

“Show” “Hey!” Oats “on” E
It’s modern baseball superstar SHOHEI OHTANI.
Fun Fact: I used a telephone cord to splitscreen these guys despite the fact that they are both talking on cellphones.
Correct percentage: 72.34%

P [TEAR] [PARKER]
It’s Spider-Man’s civilian name: PETER PARKER
Fun Fact: I am an excellent parallel parker {brag}, but it took me many erased attempts to figure out how to clearly convey a car being parked and not just being driven by an inattentive driver.
Correct percentage: 87.23%

“There” (“final testament,” or:)[WILL] [BEE] [BLOOD]
It’s the 2007 classic, THERE WILL BE BLOOD. A funnier movie than you might remember. Watch it again.
Fun Fact: This is a vampire event solely so you know that’s blood in the glass. Why did this vampire choose that exact moment to toast? Is he happy The Count died? Pretty disrespectful.
Correct percentage: 89.36%

And there you have it! Anyone who submitted any correct answers gets their name etched in the Puzzleboy Pantheon! We broke a lot of ties on that there Series One leaderboard this month!
